CSAB Special Round Prediction

CSAB cutoffs are ~5–20% more relaxed than JoSAA Round 6. Enter your JEE Main rank.

Calculation Formula & Methodology

CSAB_Cutoff ≈ JoSAA_Round6_Cutoff × (1.05 to 1.20) (CSAB cutoffs are typically 5–20% more relaxed)

Predictions are based on 5-year NTA & JoSAA historical data (2020–2025) using polynomial regression and statistical interpolation. All cutoff data sourced from official JoSAA seat allocation records.

CSAB Special Rounds — Your Last Opportunity

What is CSAB Special Round?

After JoSAA's 6 main rounds, CSAB conducts 1–2 special rounds for vacant NIT+, IIIT, and GFTI seats. These rounds typically have relaxed cutoffs compared to JoSAA rounds, as many candidates have already joined IITs or private colleges. If you participated in JoSAA but didn't get a satisfactory seat, CSAB Special Rounds are your next chance.

Which Seats Open in CSAB?

CSAB seats come from: (1) Candidates who froze seats in JoSAA but didn't report for document verification, (2) Seats that went unfilled due to lack of preference choices in later rounds, (3) Newly added seats. Typically, newer NITs and less popular branches have more CSAB seats. Top NITs CS seats rarely open in CSAB.

CSAB Special Round Strategy

Participate in CSAB if your JoSAA seat was unsatisfactory or you didn't get a seat. Fill as many choices as possible. Prioritize newer NITs/IIITs where CSAB seats are more common. Historically, candidates with ranks up to 50,000 in JEE Main have gotten NIT seats through CSAB. Don't skip CSAB if you're serious about government engineering colleges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CSAB registration separate from JoSAA?+

Yes. CSAB has a separate registration and fee. Even if you participated in JoSAA, you must register for CSAB separately. CSAB typically opens in July–August after JoSAA final round results.

Can I upgrade my NIT branch through CSAB?+

Yes, if you already have a JoSAA seat, you can try to upgrade to a better branch or institute through CSAB without losing your current seat. However, if you get allocated a CSAB seat and accept it, you give up your JoSAA seat.
