How JeePredictor Works

JeePredictor builds data-driven rank prediction and college allocation engines for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and JoSAA counselling.

1. 5-Year NTA Result Dataset

Our rank prediction models are trained on published NTA result statistics from 2020 through 2024 covering over 60+ lakh candidate results. We map raw scores to percentile distributions using polynomial regression to deliver accurate All India Rank (AIR) estimates.

2. NTA Multi-Session Normalization

Because JEE Main is conducted across multiple shifts with varying paper difficulty, raw scores cannot be directly compared. Our engine applies NTA's exact percentile formula: Percentile = (100 × Candidates with score ≤ P) / Total Candidates in session.

3. JoSAA Opening & Closing Rank Analysis

Our college predictor indexes historical seat allotment cutoffs for all 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 30+ GFTIs across all 6 rounds of JoSAA counselling. Colleges are classified into probability bands:

  • Safe: Your rank is within the top 80% of the historical closing rank. High likelihood of seat allotment.
  • Moderate: Your rank is between 80% and 100% of the historical closing rank. Good chance depending on choice list.
  • Reach: Your rank is within 120% of the closing rank. Possible in later rounds or CSAB special rounds.

4. Category & Quota Precision

We apply specific category multipliers for OPEN, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD categories, as well as Home State (HS) versus Other State (OS) seat quotas for NITs. Home State quota candidates receive up to 25–40% lower cutoff advantages.

5. 100% Free & Privacy First

JeePredictor will never require phone numbers, email registration, or subscription fees. All score calculations run client-side in your web browser.
